Ever the technology showcase, the latest 7-series shouldn't disappoint electronics lovers. BMW has released preliminary information and images of the revamped and restyled 7 ahead of its official debut at this year's Paris show. The fifth-generation 7-series will come to the U.S. first as the V-8-powered 750i and its long-wheelbase counterpart, the 750Li. Though the model designations remain the same as before, the V-8 underhood does not. As we expected, the 750 models will get the 400-hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 that first appeared in BMW's X6. A smaller engine with a big dose of technology goes a long way, as the direct-injected turbo engine makes more power than the outgoing 750's 4.8-liter normally aspirated V-8, and more torque than the V-12 currently found in the 760Li. The 7 will continue to use a six-speed automatic transmission. When it comes time to put the 7 in Drive, drivers will now make use of BMW's console-mounted joystick gear selector which replaces the electronic column-mounted shifter of the previous-generation car. We see also that the odd steering-wheel-mounted shift buttons (with two for upshifts on the rim's front, and two for downshifts on the rear) have gone away. Manual shifting can be accomplished once the joystick-style selector is tilted to the left. BMW's improved iDrive controller is located next to the gear selector, and with it comes a revised interface that is more intuitive than that on the outgoing model and which we expect to be more in line with BMW's other iDrive-equipped offerings. Menus are now displayed on a larger (10.2 inches vs. 8.8 inches), higher-definition central display. GPS navigation software is now stored on a hard drive, which can also be used to store about 13 gigabytes of music (auxiliary, USB, and iPod interfaces will also be included). The 7-series will also adopt the programmable memory keys seen on other BMWs that allow for one touch access to user-defined vehicle functions. Coal price remains high, TNB cannot bring down electricity tariff
Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) says it cannot reduce the electricity tariff as coal price, which accounts for 60 percent of its power generating cost, has remained above US$75 per metric tonne.
The tariff hike on July 1 was based on the US$75 price. Its president and chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh said 60 percent of power was generated from its gas power plant and 30 percent coal, but in terms of cost, coal took up 60 percent and gas 40 percent.
A 10 percent increase in coal price would mean six percent increase in fuel cost. Its pre-tax profit for the year ended Aug 31, 2008 declined by RM1.74 billion to RM3.02 billion compared with RM4.7 billion previously.
Che Khalib said the high cost of operation was the reason why even with the recent tariff hike, the utility giant registered a pre-tax loss of RM275.2 million for the fourth quarter ended Aug 31, 2008 compared with a gain of RM329.5 million in the same quarter of 2007.
The government registered a loss despite the tariff increase by 26 percent because fuel cost alone increased by RM1 billion.

The basis of the science is that the body is reflected on the feet or hands. Left foot or hand reflects the left side of the body and the right foot or hand the right side.
The spine reflex area runs down the insides of the foot and hand with reflex areas for the arm and shoulder reflected toward the outside of the foot or hand.
The toes and fingers reflect head and neck reflex areas as well as those of the internal parts of the body they enclose.
The ball of the foot mirrors the chest and upper back in addition to the heart and lungs.
The waistline of the body is represented at the base of the long bones of the feet and hands. Portions of the body above the waistline is mirrored above this line toward the toes or fingers and those below the waistline toward the heels of the foot or hand.
In general terms the benefits of reflexology have to do with the reduction of stress. Because the feet and hands help set the tension level for the rest of the body they are an easy way to interrupt the stress signal and reset homeostasis, the body's equilibrium.

Student behaviour: The kids who turn out well despite the odds
As a student of univercity, I have noticed a rather disturbing trend or style of parenting among parents these days.
These parents tend to leave all matters relating to their children's development -- physically and mentally -- to the teachers, especially if the child is in a boarding school.
So teachers get to be in charge of everything, from teaching students academic subjects and coaching them in sports, to educating them about the facts of life and other taboo subjects that parents are shy of discussing.
Thus, not everybody receives the treatment they deserve, as teachers cannot monitor students 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Also, some students feel that as teachers are not their parents, they adopt an attitude of defiance towards them because their own parents have not criticised them for a particular behaviour.
Therefore, there's no need to heed the teachers' advice or criticism.
I have to say that often the students do get away lightly; many even manage to get their parents to back them up when they are caught red-handed.
Many parents would never believe that their little "angels" could do such things.
We also cannot ignore external influences like the Internet, the media and other forms of entertainment as, most often, students tend to imitate the behaviour they see on screen and TV.
However, I disagree with Hamdan's comment that "dysfunctional families breed dysfunctional children".
I have seen many who come from problematic and broken homes, who turn out to be excellent and exemplary students because they were determined to change their families' conditions and lives for the better.
Let's not undermine their abilities to think sensibly; not all of them follow the bad examples set by their parents.

Missing mail: No letters from home in this part of the country
I dealt with it by telling friends and family not to send anything any more as complaints to the post office were totally futile.
At least, I received most of my other mail.
For the past one year, however, I have not received any mail from overseas.
No matter which country it had been sent from, it never arrives.
I live in the Ampang area and have heard the same complaint from other expatriates.
I tried to get to the bottom of this by calling my local post office branch, but they were not able to help me nor tell me who to complain to.
It upsets me a lot to think that my friends and family have lovingly selected cards for a special occasion, which will then be carelessly discarded by thieves at some stage of the postal journey of the cards.
How do you expect foreigners to make Malaysia their second home when something as basic as the postal service for their overseas mail is as good as non-existent?

Yesterday,I have bought a new mobile phone . Not a expensive one but just a simple model and I think for now that handphone was suitable to me. I will explain more about my new handphone. "Knighting" Shah Rukh Khan in Malaysia will boost tourism: official
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27, 2008 (AFP) - The "knighting" of India's top Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan will help boost tourism in Malaysia, an official from the western Malacca state government said Monday.

Khan is to be given the Governor of Malacca's award, which carries the title "Datuk," after his 2001 film boosted the profile of the state as a destination for tourists.
The 42-year old heart-throb will receive his award on November 29, in a ceremony that will be aired live on India's top entertainment channel, Zee TV.
"It is a boost for tourism in Malaysia. His movies are seen by people all over the world and this is cost-free advertisement for us," local parliamentarian Mohammad Sirat Abu told AFP.
Malacca, a historic port town and a relic of Malaysia's colonial past, relies hevily on tourism for income.
Mohammad said since the filming of Khan's 2001 movie, "One 2 Ka 4" at a popular resort in Malacca, the number of tourists coming from India has increased markedly.
"He is a worldwide icon and having him here will boost our country's tourism industry," he said.
However, the granting of the award has been controversial, with some questioning what Khan had done to merit the honour.
Opposition politician Lim Kit Siang said local artists and celebrities should have been recognised ahead of Khan.
"I don't think the reason that has been given for making Shah Rukh Khan a Malacca Datuk would impress or convince many," he said earlier this month.
However, former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad supported the move.
"I feel embarrassed when the award... to Shah Rukh Khan is being questioned. We confer such titles quite often on foreigners to appreciate their contribution to the country," he wrote on his blog chedet.com.
"Some of these people have contributed even less than what Shah Rukh Khan has."

on 18 october, i went to paloh hinai. attend to complete briged siswa subject. it's been a long time i dont do camping..some of my close frends were there too..mat, adnin, shimi, along..the best part is we build a raft..two rainy days, it was quite challenging. this make the river flow fast. this programme is used to build teamwork, confident, leadership.. the best damn thing is we need to cook a lunch fo the whole camp...i've learned a lot especially in cooking skills...in the end, i've learned a lot things, make new friends..actually, i want to play more often in the river, well i'm not always get chance to do that..
my group went to SK Pengkalan Tentera..not far from UMP. The school is so small, not like in my hometown. the kids really awesome, energatic, some of them were shy.. most of their dad's job i an army. furthermore, this remembering me when i was in primary school. a kid, not well managed, small, and playfull. i never been a facilitator for primary school. so, i treated them like my own younger bro and sis. i got to handle group 1. we got 5 modules to complete. such as pat-pat tika lipat, bom negara, buang nama. after all, i realized they enjoyed our programs. we motivated them to study and score in exam. i hope they all got that spirit because they have met us, UMP students..
i watched this movie in megamall. nick cage in action again. i like to watch Nicolas Cage acts, such as Ghost Rider, and National Treassure. Bangkok Dangerous is about a life on an assassin(nicolas cage), get paid to kill someone. most of the scene is in Thailand. he got 4 target to kill. he can't kill the last target.in the end he kill himself. i think just because he broke his own rules..this made him feel useless. although he can run away, he did not. my friends said "ala hero mati, tak best la citer camni".. i dont agree with that..he choose to die because of the failure and dont complete the job as an assassin..
inally, i almost finish my first semester in UMP..many sweet memories, bitter also got. lucky me, i got very happening classmate although only 1 girl, no wonder my class is very close each other..i got to know Kuantan town, learning engineering, meet friends from all over Malaysia..those are unforgettable experiences. what made i little bid disappointed is the TV in the cafe..no big TV, only 1 small TV got astro.. i cant watch football every week(my routine). here far from, kuantan, i prefer to relax in my room on weekend. playing guitar, watching movies, play futsal, sometime sleep..hahaha.. tough to be FKM student. got a lot of things to do, compare to other students.. many assignments, and quiz. average every week got assignment. but it's ok, it help me to improve my study..here come the final exam..thanks to all lecturers. to Pn. Normala, we are happy to be in your class. well, i will continue blogging although no more UHL2312. i hope this blog will connecting us..7 semesters yet to come, such a long way to go..i will do my best!! yeah!!!

Awful Chicken Pox!!! Ooohh!!...this is a real trouble. While everyone happily celebrating Hari Raya, I was wrapped with my blanket because of the chicken pox infection from my classmate. As early as the raya prayer, I could see just two or three spots at my shoulder and also my right elbow. After the raya prayer, I could feel that my feet and knees are shaking. What's wrong with me?, I keep on wondering and unfortunately, I knew that I was striked by the chicken pox and measles virus simultaneously at the third raya day. I was quarantined and my little nephew was very frightened by my frog-like face. I was frigthtened by myself too. My siblings laughed at me and also called me a zombie. Ahah!, I can't wait for my turn to laugh at them someday when they get any problem. This is the very first part of the awfulness. After two weeks suffering from chiken pox, the more horrible trouble come against me. Five presentations, quizzes, five tests already wait for me. I must cover all of the lessons for the past two weeks an one night. I have no idea on how to overcome it and how terrible my carry mark is going to be. I really hope my friends will help me because I am really in a great worry.

Comment. It is good news to Malaysian because the price in the main supermarket in Malaysia will go down a little bit starting this Tuesday. It is the first times the price go down after the fuel’s price raise a few months before. By this way, Malaysia’s people especially poor people can life as usual. Besides that, the government still fined a way to reduce the price for other goods by discussion with some organization to help our people. Hopefully, the user can be more patient because the government will do their best.

The cost for the helicopter is RM1.67 billion. The purpose of buying this helicopter is to replace the old helicopter, Nuri. Although it is important to our country to change the helicopter, but our prime minister see that economy is most important for this time it must give the priority. Basicly, 3/4 of our earth was covered by water. The seven seas was dwelled by great deals of sea creatures. The massive ecosystem have to be controlled biologically. That's why some predators are needed under our sea bottom. Sharks are parts of hundreds predators in the sea. They are hungry predators that will eat everything that across in front of them. It was proven in many research that shark will grab all the material that they interested including human and plastic.
So, the moral of the story, we have to keep our environment clean to avoid the shark from die because of plastic eating and don't swim to far from the shore because the shark can swim faster than us!

They also tend to aim to get a high salary jobs and conduct a luxurious living after finishing their studies. It do sound wonderful right?? So in order for these students to achieve their goals they must plan every steps that they take. For example, i take one of the goals of a student that is to get good grades and pointers in their examinations. In order to fulfil this goal the students must have good plans such as do early revision, pay attention in class, doing homework and assignments, do a lot of exercise and many more. So with these careful steps they will manage to get the goal that is good grades or so called the chicken hatch from the egg. However if the student try to smash the egg they will not get their goals complete. In addition they will tend to fall in other bad things. For example if the students take shortcut in their examinations such as last minute studies, didn't pass up their homework or assignments and even worse attempt cheating in the examination. They will get caught and they mess up their exams. Instead they didn't achieve their true goals of study that is to gain good results.

It's bar exam season and new law grads across the country are gearing up for the most rigorous test of their lives. Here are a few tips to help you ace this all-important exam.
1. Establish a study plan. Establish a study strategy by outlining what you will study over the next month. While you don’t need to follow your plan to the letter, it can help guide your study efforts. Allocate 2-3 hours a day to practicing multi-state questions and the rest of your day to outlining the law and completing practice essays. 2. Create study sheets. To aid in memorizing black letter law, photocopy or retype your bar review outline, leaving the points of law blank. Create several copies and fill in the blanks. Putting pen to paper instead of repeating the material to yourself or a friend may aid in memorization and give you a better sense of how well you've mastered the material. 3. Schedule down time. In a piston engine, the same volume of space (the cylinder) alternately does four different jobs -- intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. A rotary engine does these same four jobs, but each one happens in its own part of the housing. It's kind of like having a dedicated cylinder for each of the four jobs, with the piston moving continually from one to the next.

In this article, we'll learn how a turbocharger increases the power output of an engine while surviving extreme operating conditions. We'll also learn how wastegates, ceramic turbine blades and ball bearings help turbochargers do their job even better. Turbochargers are a type of forced induction system. They compress the air flowing into the engine (see How Car Engines Work for a description of airflow in a normal engine). The advantage of compressing the air is that it lets the engine squeeze more air into a cylinder, and more air means that more fuel can be added. Therefore, you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A turbocharged engine produces more power overall than the same engine without the charging. In order to achieve this boost, the turbocharger uses the exhaust flow from the engine to spin a turbine, which in turn spins an air pump. The turbine in the turbocharger spins at speeds of up to 150,000 rotations per minute (rpm) -- that's about 30 times faster than most car engines can go. And since it is hooked up to the exhaust, the temperatures in the turbine are also very high.
The Basics One of the surest ways to get more power out of an engine is to increase the amount of air and fuel that it can burn. One way to do this is to add cylinders or make the current cylinders bigger. Sometimes these changes may not be feasible -- a turbo can be a simpler, more compact way to add power, especially for an aftermarket accessory.

Turbochargers allow an engine to burn more fuel and air by packing more into the existing cylinders. The typical boost provided by a turbocharger is 6 to 8 pounds per square inch (psi). Since normal atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi at sea level, you can see that you are getting about 50 percent more air into the engine. Therefore, you would expect to get 50 percent more power. It's not perfectly efficient, so you might get a 30- to 40-percent improvement instead.
One cause of the inefficiency comes from the fact that the power to spin the turbine is not free. Having a turbine in the exhaust flow increases the restriction in the exhaust. This means that on the exhaust stroke, the engine has to push against a higher back-pressure. This subtracts a little bit of power from the cylinders that are firing at the same time.

In theory, diesel engines and gasoline engines are quite similar. They are both internal combustion engines designed to convert the chemical energy available in fuel into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy moves pistons up and down inside cylinders. The pistons are connected to a crankshaft, and the up-and-down motion of the pistons, known as linear motion, creates the rotary motion needed to turn the wheels of a car forward.
Both diesel engines and gasoline engines covert fuel into energy through a series of small explosions or combustions. The major difference between diesel and gasoline is the way these explosions happen. In a gasoline engine, fuel is mixed with air, compressed by pistons and ignited by sparks from spark plugs. In a diesel engine, however, the air is compressed first, and then the fuel is injected. Because air heats up when it's compressed, the fuel ignites.

The diesel engine uses a four-stroke combustion cycle just like a gasoline engine. The four strokes are:
Intake stroke -- The intake valve opens up, letting in air and moving the piston down. Compression stroke -- The piston moves back up and compresses the air. Combustion stroke -- As the piston reaches the top, fuel is injected at just the right moment and ignited, forcing the piston back down. Exhaust stroke -- The piston moves back to the top, pushing out the exhaust created from the combustion out of the exhaust valve.
Remember that the diesel engine has no spark plug, that it intakes air and compresses it, and that it then injects the fuel directly into the combustion chamber (direct injection). It is the heat of the compressed air that lights the fuel in a diesel engine. In the next section, we'll examine the diesel injection process.

Ack, exams are coming! With midterms and final exams, students have two goals. First, you want to ace the exams, or at least get decent grades and do as well as possible. Second, there's your sanity; you want to get through exams with a minimum of stress and test anxiety. Fortunately, with the right study skills techniques, you can both manage your stress and do well on the tests. Here are some study skills tips for final exams to help you do well and stay sane.
Time management. Plan, plan, plan. Before finals begin, get out your calendar and schedule as much of your finals week as possible. Then stick with the schedule. Schedule in study breaks. Don't plan to study non-stop for the next five days. You'll go insane, and you'll be too fried to do well on the exams. When you write your schedule, include short study breaks to help you recharge. You'll feel so much better and will be able to concentrate so much more. Here's some suggestions for great study breaks. Schedule in sleep. Some people can function well on three hours of sleep a night. Most cannot. You'll do much better during exams if your mental state is good, and sleep is essential for this. Exercise. There's no better source for stress relief. Just don't overdo it to the point that you're procrastinating heavily. Go for short, stress-relieving activities, like racquetball or a treadmill run. And don't underestimate the value of a brisk walk. Prioritize. You have limited time to study and will have to choose what to spend the most time with. You could spend hours and hours on that math exam because if you do really well, you might be able to pull of a C. Or you can spend hours and hours on a history exam because if you do well, you've got a good shot at an A. It's up to you. Form effective study groups. Just don't waste your time with lousy ones. Here are some tips for effective study groups. Free your schedule. As much as possible, eliminate other responsibilities. Work fewer hours. Put off social events. Definitely put off shopping. Ask your professor for help. If you're confused about your notes or the readings, go to the resident expert. This works much better if you don't put off studying until the last minute. It's a good idea to read through all of your notes before you start to study, so that you can inquire early about things that confuse you. Keep things in perspective. What's the worst thing that can happen if you don't do well on this test? Excessive stress will make you crazy and hurt your performance on tests, so as much as you can, relax. And if you're having serious problems with anxiety during final exams, seek help at your school's counseling center. This is a common problem that schools are well equipped to help you with.

The grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move a little faster next time,' and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!' 'So you think it is useless?' The old man said, 'Look at the basket.' The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out. 'Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives.'

Ever the technology showcase, the latest 7-series shouldn't disappoint electronics lovers. BMW has released preliminary information and images of the revamped and restyled 7 ahead of its official debut at this year's Paris show.
The fifth-generation 7-series will come to the U.S. first as the V-8-powered 750i and its long-wheelbase counterpart, the 750Li. Though the model designations remain the same as before, the V-8 underhood does not. As we expected, the 750 models will get the 400-hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 that first appeared in BMW's X6. A smaller engine with a big dose of technology goes a long way, as the direct-injected turbo engine makes more power than the outgoing 750's 4.8-liter normally aspirated V-8, and more torque than the V-12 currently found in the 760Li. The 7 will continue to use a six-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes time to put the 7 in Drive, drivers will now make use of BMW's console-mounted joystick gear selector which replaces the electronic column-mounted shifter of the previous-generation car. We see also that the odd steering-wheel-mounted shift buttons (with two for upshifts on the rim's front, and two for downshifts on the rear) have gone away. Manual shifting can be accomplished once the joystick-style selector is tilted to the left.
BMW's improved iDrive controller is located next to the gear selector, and with it comes a revised interface that is more intuitive than that on the outgoing model and which we expect to be more in line with BMW's other iDrive-equipped offerings. Menus are now displayed on a larger (10.2 inches vs. 8.8 inches), higher-definition central display. GPS navigation software is now stored on a hard drive, which can also be used to store about 13 gigabytes of music (auxiliary, USB, and iPod interfaces will also be included). The 7-series will also adopt the programmable memory keys seen on other BMWs that allow for one touch access to user-defined vehicle functions. BMW also notes that the steering controls can access more functions than before.
Not to be outdone by the central display, the 7's new instruments make use of what BMW calls Black Panel technology. We gather that this is similar to the instrument layout in the Mercedes-Benz S-class, though the 7-series has four permanent chrome rings bounding its virtual instruments.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES are mechanical devices that use controlled explosions (combustions) of petrol (gasoline) and air mixtures to rotate wheels. The reciprocating (back and forth) engine explodes the mixture (of fuel + air) in a cylinder that forces the contained piston to move. This movement of the piston is transmitted (via the connecting rod) to a rotating device (crankshaft shown as a simple red disc) which is ultimately connected to the wheels (via gears, usually). This is how cars run on petrol. The ubiquitous four stroke engine is so called because the piston repeats a sequence of four strokes for every explosion. This animation shows a highly simplified engine to illustrate this process. In reality, the components often have highly complex and irregular shapes. Since a realistic rendering might obscure the underlying process I have reduced the components to their simplest form. Car engines have multiple cylinders contained together in an engine block. Usually these contain 4, 6 or 8 cylinders. For example a V6 engine contains six cylinders arranged to create a V configuration.
Coal price remains high, TNB cannot bring down electricity tariff
Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) says it cannot reduce the electricity tariff as coal price, which accounts for 60 percent of its power generating cost, has remained above US$75 per metric tonne.
The tariff hike on July 1 was based on the US$75 price.
Its president and chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh said 60 percent of power was generated from its gas power plant and 30 percent coal, but in terms of cost, coal took up 60 percent and gas 40 percent.
A 10 percent increase in coal price would mean six percent increase in fuel cost. Its pre-tax profit for the year ended Aug 31, 2008 declined by RM1.74 billion to RM3.02 billion compared with RM4.7 billion previously.
Che Khalib said the high cost of operation was the reason why even with the recent tariff hike, the utility giant registered a pre-tax loss of RM275.2 million for the fourth quarter ended Aug 31, 2008 compared with a gain of RM329.5 million in the same quarter of 2007.
The government registered a loss despite the tariff increase by 26 percent because fuel cost alone increased by RM1 billion.

REFLEXOLOGY is sometimes called "zone therapy". It is an ancient practice of massaging,squeezing or pushing on the sole of the feet.Sometimes it involves the hands and even the ears.

How it actually works is still very much debated. One theory is that nerve endings of all major organs are at the soles of the feet.These nerve endings can be stimulated by massaging the end points on the soles.
Reflexologists contend that the body contains an energy field, invisible life force, or Qi. When this is blocked, healing is prevented. Massaging the soles actually enhances the life force.
Other proposed effects of reflexology include the release of endorphins (natural pain killers found in the body), the promotion of lymphatic flow in the body, or the dissolving of uric acid crystals. That is why you are asked to drink lots of water after each session.
The origins of reflexology date back to ancient Egypt as evidenced by inscriptions found in a physician's tomb at Saqqara.
We cannot determine the exact relationship between the ancient art as practised by the early Egyptians and reflexology as we know it today. Different forms of working the feet to effect health have been used in the ancient world.
There seems to be an active phase of its development in China and Japan that parallels the development of acupuncture. Similar techniques are advocated as "mamar therapy" as a part of Ayurveda.
In the West, the concept of reflexology began to emerge in the 19th century, based on research into the nervous system and reflex.
The precursor of modern reflexology was introduced to the United States in 1913 by William H. Fitzgerald, M.D. (1872-1942), an ear, nose and throat specialist, and Dr Edwin Bowers.
Fitzgerald claimed that applying pressure had an anesthetic effect on other areas of the body.
Reflexology was further developed in the 1930s and 1940s by Eunice D. Ingham (1899-1974), a nurse and physiotherapist.
Ingham claimed that the feet and hands were especially sensitive, and mapped the entire body into "reflexes" on the feet. It was at this time that "zone therapy" was renamed reflexology.
Modern reflexologists in the United States and Britain often learn Ingham's method first, although there are more recent developed methods.
The basis of the science is that the body is reflected on the feet or hands. Left foot or hand reflects the left side of the body and the right foot or hand the right side.
The spine reflex area runs down the insides of the foot and hand with reflex areas for the arm and shoulder reflected toward the outside of the foot or hand.
The toes and fingers reflect head and neck reflex areas as well as those of the internal parts of the body they enclose.
The ball of the foot mirrors the chest and upper back in addition to the heart and lungs.
The waistline of the body is represented at the base of the long bones of the feet and hands. Portions of the body above the waistline is mirrored above this line toward the toes or fingers and those below the waistline toward the heels of the foot or hand.
In general terms the benefits of reflexology have to do with the reduction of stress. Because the feet and hands help set the tension level for the rest of the body they are an easy way to interrupt the stress signal and reset homeostasis, the body's equilibrium.
Reflexology is a complement to standard medical care and should not be construed as medical advice.
There are no ill effects of this technique except for the pain and soreness that you might feel after the session.

Student behaviour: The kids who turn out well despite the odds
As a student of univercity, I have noticed a rather disturbing trend or style of parenting among parents these days.
These parents tend to leave all matters relating to their children's development -- physically and mentally -- to the teachers, especially if the child is in a boarding school.
So teachers get to be in charge of everything, from teaching students academic subjects and coaching them in sports, to educating them about the facts of life and other taboo subjects that parents are shy of discussing.
Thus, not everybody receives the treatment they deserve, as teachers cannot monitor students 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Also, some students feel that as teachers are not their parents, they adopt an attitude of defiance towards them because their own parents have not criticised them for a particular behaviour.
Therefore, there's no need to heed the teachers' advice or criticism.
I have to say that often the students do get away lightly; many even manage to get their parents to back them up when they are caught red-handed.
Many parents would never believe that their little "angels" could do such things.
We also cannot ignore external influences like the Internet, the media and other forms of entertainment as, most often, students tend to imitate the behaviour they see on screen and TV.
However, I disagree with Hamdan's comment that "dysfunctional families breed dysfunctional children".
I have seen many who come from problematic and broken homes, who turn out to be excellent and exemplary students because they were determined to change their families' conditions and lives for the better.
Let's not undermine their abilities to think sensibly; not all of them follow the bad examples set by their parents.

Missing mail: No letters from home in this part of the country
I dealt with it by telling friends and family not to send anything any more as complaints to the post office were totally futile.
At least, I received most of my other mail.
For the past one year, however, I have not received any mail from overseas.
No matter which country it had been sent from, it never arrives.
I live in the Ampang area and have heard the same complaint from other expatriates.
I tried to get to the bottom of this by calling my local post office branch, but they were not able to help me nor tell me who to complain to.
It upsets me a lot to think that my friends and family have lovingly selected cards for a special occasion, which will then be carelessly discarded by thieves at some stage of the postal journey of the cards.
How do you expect foreigners to make Malaysia their second home when something as basic as the postal service for their overseas mail is as good as non-existent?

My comment for this article is guitar is a musical instrument that is verry famous in our musical area nowdays. Guitars can be played in many type of music such as blues ,country,flamenco,rock music,pop and many more. Guitars also can be played acoustically ,where the tone is produced by vibration of the strings and modulate by the hollow body. Guitars can also mention with a few important component part.There are headstock,fret,neck,strings and the guitatrs body. Without one of this component part the guitars cannot be played.
My new handphone..
Yesterday,I have bought a new mobile phone . Not a expensive one but just a simple model and I think for now that handphone was suitable to me. I will explain more about my new handphone. My handphone was called mobile phone because it has TV function. The most reasons I bought this handphone because it has TV function and can put two sim card together in one handphone. I have two sim card,there are maxis and celcom. The all two sim card can activated simultanously and I can use whether maxis or celcom and it easy for me to contact anyone I like. Besides that,it also have functions like MP3,MP4, RADIO FM,camera 3 mega pixels,video recorder,voice recorder and many more. The price of my handphone is about RM 450.00. For me,it quite expensive for student like me but I satisfy to have that handphone..hehehe
"Knighting" Shah Rukh Khan in Malaysia will boost tourism: official
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27, 2008 (AFP) - The "knighting" of India's top Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan will help boost tourism in Malaysia, an official from the western Malacca state government said Monday.

Khan is to be given the Governor of Malacca's award, which carries the title "Datuk," after his 2001 film boosted the profile of the state as a destination for tourists.
The 42-year old heart-throb will receive his award on November 29, in a ceremony that will be aired live on India's top entertainment channel, Zee TV.
"It is a boost for tourism in Malaysia. His movies are seen by people all over the world and this is cost-free advertisement for us," local parliamentarian Mohammad Sirat Abu told AFP.
Malacca, a historic port town and a relic of Malaysia's colonial past, relies hevily on tourism for income.
Mohammad said since the filming of Khan's 2001 movie, "One 2 Ka 4" at a popular resort in Malacca, the number of tourists coming from India has increased markedly.
"He is a worldwide icon and having him here will boost our country's tourism industry," he said.
However, the granting of the award has been controversial, with some questioning what Khan had done to merit the honour.
Opposition politician Lim Kit Siang said local artists and celebrities should have been recognised ahead of Khan.
"I don't think the reason that has been given for making Shah Rukh Khan a Malacca Datuk would impress or convince many," he said earlier this month.
However, former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad supported the move.
"I feel embarrassed when the award... to Shah Rukh Khan is being questioned. We confer such titles quite often on foreigners to appreciate their contribution to the country," he wrote on his blog chedet.com.
"Some of these people have contributed even less than what Shah Rukh Khan has."
Malaysia has become a popular location for Indian films, which have a huge following among ethnic Indians and the majority Muslim-Malays.
Women of all ages -- including the wife of deputy prime minister Najib Razak, Rosmah Mansor -- are huge fans of the charismatic Khan, dubbed the "King of Bollywood" here.

on 18 october, i went to paloh hinai. attend to complete briged siswa subject. it's been a long time i dont do camping..some of my close frends were there too..mat, adnin, shimi, along..the best part is we build a raft..two rainy days, it was quite challenging. this make the river flow fast. this programme is used to build teamwork, confident, leadership..
the best damn thing is we need to cook a lunch fo the whole camp...i've learned a lot especially in cooking skills...in the end, i've learned a lot things, make new friends..actually, i want to play more often in the river, well i'm not always get chance to do that..
my group went to SK Pengkalan Tentera..not far from UMP. The school is so small, not like in my hometown. the kids really awesome, energatic, some of them were shy.. most of their dad's job i an army. furthermore, this remembering me when i was in primary school. a kid, not well managed, small, and playfull. i never been a facilitator for primary school. so, i treated them like my own younger bro and sis.
i got to handle group 1. we got 5 modules to complete. such as pat-pat tika lipat, bom negara, buang nama. after all, i realized they enjoyed our programs. we motivated them to study and score in exam. i hope they all got that spirit because they have met us, UMP students..
i watched this movie in megamall. nick cage in action again. i like to watch Nicolas Cage acts, such as Ghost Rider, and National Treassure. Bangkok Dangerous is about a life on an assassin(nicolas cage), get paid to kill someone. most of the scene is in Thailand. he got 4 target to kill. he can't kill the last target.in the end he kill himself. i think just because he broke his own rules..this made him feel useless. although he can run away, he did not. my friends said "ala hero mati, tak best la citer camni".. i dont agree with that..he choose to die because of the failure and dont complete the job as an assassin..
inally, i almost finish my first semester in UMP..many sweet memories, bitter also got. lucky me, i got very happening classmate although only 1 girl, no wonder my class is very close each other..i got to know Kuantan town, learning engineering, meet friends from all over Malaysia..those are unforgettable experiences. what made i little bid disappointed is the TV in the cafe..no big TV, only 1 small TV got astro.. i cant watch football every week(my routine). here far from, kuantan, i prefer to relax in my room on weekend. playing guitar, watching movies, play futsal, sometime sleep..hahaha..

Awful Chicken Pox!!!
Ooohh!!...this is a real trouble. While everyone happily celebrating Hari Raya, I was wrapped with my blanket because of the chicken pox infection from my classmate. As early as the raya prayer, I could see just two or three spots at my shoulder and also my right elbow. After the raya prayer, I could feel that my feet and knees are shaking. What's wrong with me?, I keep on wondering and unfortunately, I knew that I was striked by the chicken pox and measles virus simultaneously at the third raya day. I was quarantined and my little nephew was very frightened by my frog-like face. I was frigthtened by myself too. My siblings laughed at me and also called me a zombie. Ahah!, I can't wait for my turn to laugh at them someday when they get any problem. This is the very first part of the awfulness.
After two weeks suffering from chiken pox, the more horrible trouble come against me. Five presentations, quizzes, five tests already wait for me. I must cover all of the lessons for the past two weeks an one night. I have no idea on how to overcome it and how terrible my carry mark is going to be. I really hope my friends will help me because I am really in a great worry.

It is good news to Malaysian because the price in the main supermarket in Malaysia will go down a little bit starting this Tuesday. It is the first times the price go down after the fuel’s price raise a few months before. By this way, Malaysia’s people especially poor people can life as usual. Although it is important to our country to change the helicopter, but our prime minister see that economy is most important for this time it must give the priority. Basicly, 3/4 of our earth was covered by water. The seven seas was dwelled by great deals of sea creatures. The massive ecosystem have to be controlled biologically. That's why some predators are needed under our sea bottom. Sharks are parts of hundreds predators in the sea. They are hungry predators that will eat everything that across in front of them. It was proven in many research that shark will grab all the material that they interested including human and plastic.
So, the moral of the story, we have to keep our environment clean to avoid the shark from die because of plastic eating and don't swim to far from the shore because the shark can swim faster than us!

From my understanding, the quote means that in order to get something that is perfect we must be very careful in our steps that we make to make sure that we can achieve the best final results. For instance, in a world of a student. Every student must have their aims and goals in their studies. Mostly aims to achieve good grades in all of the examination. They also tend to aim to get a high salary jobs and conduct a luxurious living after finishing their studies.
It do sound wonderful right?? Well as i said before in order to get something that is perfect we must be very careful in our steps that we make to make sure that we can achieve the best final results. So in order for these students to achieve their goals they must plan every steps that they take. For example, i take one of the goals of a student that is to get good grades and pointers in their examinations. In order to fulfil this goal the students must have good plans such as do early revision, pay attention in class, doing homework and assignments, do a lot of exercise and many more.
So with these careful steps they will manage to get the goal that is good grades or so called the chicken hatch from the egg. However if the student try to smash the egg they will not get their goals complete. In addition they will tend to fall in other bad things. For example if the students take shortcut in their examinations such as last minute studies, didn't pass up their homework or assignments and even worse attempt cheating in the examination. They will get caught and they mess up their exams. Instead they didn't achieve their true goals of study that is to gain good results.

Turbochargers allow an engine to burn more fuel and air by packing more into the existing cylinders. The typical boost provided by a turbocharger is 6 to 8 pounds per square inch (psi). Since normal atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi at sea level, you can see that you are getting about 50 percent more air into the engine. Therefore, you would expect to get 50 percent more power. It's not perfectly efficient, so you might get a 30- to 40-percent improvement instead.
One cause of the inefficiency comes from the fact that the power to spin the turbine is not free. Having a turbine in the exhaust flow increases the restriction in the exhaust. This means that on the exhaust stroke, the engine has to push against a higher back-pressure. This subtracts a little bit of power from the cylinders that are firing at the same time.

Diesel Engine Quiz
In theory, diesel engines and gasoline engines are quite similar. They are both internal combustion engines designed to convert the chemical energy available in fuel into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy moves pistons up and down inside cylinders. The pistons are connected to a crankshaft, and the up-and-down motion of the pistons, known as linear motion, creates the rotary motion needed to turn the wheels of a car forward.
Both diesel engines and gasoline engines covert fuel into energy through a series of small explosions or combustions. The major difference between diesel and gasoline is the way these explosions happen. In a gasoline engine, fuel is mixed with air, compressed by pistons and ignited by sparks from spark plugs. In a diesel engine, however, the air is compressed first, and then the fuel is injected. Because air heats up when it's compressed, the fuel ignites.
The following animation shows the diesel cycle in action. You can compare it to the animation of the gasoline engine to see the differences:

The diesel engine uses a four-stroke combustion cycle just like a gasoline engine. The four strokes are:
Intake stroke -- The intake valve opens up, letting in air and moving the piston down.
Compression stroke -- The piston moves back up and compresses the air.
Combustion stroke -- As the piston reaches the top, fuel is injected at just the right moment and ignited, forcing the piston back down.
Exhaust stroke -- The piston moves back to the top, pushing out the exhaust created from the combustion out of the exhaust valve.
Remember that the diesel engine has no spark plug, that it intakes air and compresses it, and that it then injects the fuel directly into the combustion chamber (direct injection). It is the heat of the compressed air that lights the fuel in a diesel engine. In the next section, we'll examine the diesel injection process.

Ack, exams are coming! With midterms and final exams, students have two goals. First, you want to ace the exams, or at least get decent grades and do as well as possible. Second, there's your sanity; you want to get through exams with a minimum of stress and test anxiety. Fortunately, with the right study skills techniques, you can both manage your stress and do well on the tests. Here are some study skills tips for final exams to help you do well and stay sane.
Time management. Plan, plan, plan. Before finals begin, get out your calendar and schedule as much of your finals week as possible. Then stick with the schedule.
Schedule in study breaks. Don't plan to study non-stop for the next five days. You'll go insane, and you'll be too fried to do well on the exams. When you write your schedule, include short study breaks to help you recharge. You'll feel so much better and will be able to concentrate so much more. Here's some suggestions for great study breaks.
Schedule in sleep. Some people can function well on three hours of sleep a night. Most cannot. You'll do much better during exams if your mental state is good, and sleep is essential for this.
Exercise. There's no better source for stress relief. Just don't overdo it to the point that you're procrastinating heavily. Go for short, stress-relieving activities, like racquetball or a treadmill run. And don't underestimate the value of a brisk walk.
Prioritize. You have limited time to study and will have to choose what to spend the most time with. You could spend hours and hours on that math exam because if you do really well, you might be able to pull of a C. Or you can spend hours and hours on a history exam because if you do well, you've got a good shot at an A. It's up to you.
Form effective study groups. Just don't waste your time with lousy ones. Here are some tips for effective study groups.
Free your schedule. As much as possible, eliminate other responsibilities. Work fewer hours. Put off social events. Definitely put off shopping.
Ask your professor for help. If you're confused about your notes or the readings, go to the resident expert. This works much better if you don't put off studying until the last minute. It's a good idea to read through all of your notes before you start to study, so that you can inquire early about things that confuse you.
Keep things in perspective. What's the worst thing that can happen if you don't do well on this test? Excessive stress will make you crazy and hurt your performance on tests, so as much as you can, relax. And if you're having serious problems with anxiety during final exams, seek help at your school's counseling center. This is a common problem that schools are well equipped to help you with.

The Education Ministry has erred in allowing the use of English in the teaching of Mathematics and Science because it goes against the spirit of the National Education Policy that acknowledges Bahasa Malaysia as the medium of instruction in schools. English should be encouraged as a second language and sufficient funds be channelled to ensure that proficiency is enhanced. But we must use the right pedagogy to teach English and not let it interfere with the teaching of other subjects, for instance Science and Mathematics

An old man lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson। Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Qur'an। His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked, 'Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?' The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, 'Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.' The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move a little faster next time,' and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!' 'So you think it is useless?' The old man said, 'Look at the basket.' The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out. 'Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives.'

Titus James is 22-years old player from Malaysia who now play with French Third Division’s Nanteuil FC.
He now got problem to join National Team for play in Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup tournament in December.
As a national team coach, Sathia should know how to manage this problem.
Titus is a one of the best player from Malaysia.
Now his problem is cannot back on time that Sathia need him. It because of his contract with his team stil available. So as a good attitude player James should follow his contract and Sathia must find other player able to play wth national team replace James on hat time.
Malaysia also now have a lot of good player, so just choose which one suitable replace Titus...
