Woman exponent Chai Fong Ying added a silver in a third medal for Malaysia at the Wushu tournament Beijing 2008 this saturday (23 Aug) morning.

She pipped Japanese Ai Miyoka by four-hundreth of a point for second place behind China’s Cui Wenjuan in the taijiquan and taijijian combined event at the Olympics Sports Centre gymnasium.

Fong Ying scored a 9.70 in the taijijian this morning to add to her overnight 9.64 in the taijiquan for a total of 19.34, while the Chinese gold medallist was ahead with 19.69 points.

For the tournament here, the taijiquan, a soft and slow fluent movement martial art, is combined with the taijijian, which involves taijiquan and swordplay, as one event.

Yesterday, Malaysia gained two bronzes from Pui Fook Chien and Diana Bong.

The three-day wushu tournament is held in conjunction with the Olympic Games.

The medals are not counted in the Olympic tally.

A total of 10 gold medals are at stake in the tournament which is split into floor disciplines called “taolu” and combat fighting known as “sanshou”. China has won five golds, so far.

Malaysia’s seven competitors here are Ang Eng Chong (men’s changquan), Lee Yang (men’s taijiquan and taijijian combined), Lim Yew Fai (men’s jianshu and qiangshu combined), Pui Fook Chien (men’s nanquan and nangun combined), Diana Bong (women’s nanquan and nandao combined), Chai Fong Wei (women’s daoshu and gunshu combined) and Chai Fong Ying (women’s taijiquan and taijijuan combined).

"I WRITE in response to "Tony Blair's lecture: He should not have been invited" (NST, Aug 21)."

Leaving our own sentiments aside, we must admit that he expounded the virtues of good governance, judicial importance and democracy with clarity and eloquence. Whether we conceive his deeds to be good or bad, only history will judge the man for his actions as prime minister.
Let us not forget that Blair was gracious in accepting the invitation. As it was UM's prerogative to invite him, perhaps it can justify its choice.

In this situation of question,I think i will betray my friends compare to betray my family and my country,Malaysia.

It is because i love my country or otherwise i will get punishment from goverment,e.g get out from country and pay fine RM1,000,000.

If i betray my family, my siblings will angry with me and perhaps will not communicate with me anymore. My family also will not help me if me in trouble of money and so on.

I will betray my friends because i can get more friends from friendste r,my space and yahoo messenger.Actually, i love my friends because they so useful and helpfull to me.

But in this situation of question, i will betray my friends.Sometimes we must honest and sometimes we cannot be honest-depends on situation.

So, i think i'm patriotic person.

LONDON: Sir Bobby Robson says England coach Fabio Capello must make a stand and drop David Beckham from his starting line-up ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.

With England due to face Andorra on Sept 6 ahead of a tough meeting with Euro 2008 qualifier nemeses Croatia former England boss Robson says Capello must be more decisive.

"Fabio is meant to lead but the only place we've gone so far is round in circles," Robson said in his Mail on Sunday column.

"It is time for the real Capello to stand up and start dictating to the players and the public exactly what he wants. Then he'll find people will get behind him."

Sir Bobby believes there is now little room for Beckham if England, who last week struggled to draw with the Czech Republic in a Wembley friendly, are to unearth a coherent system.

"It means picking vibrant wide players rather than starting with David Beckham when he can't get forward as he used to. It means banging Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard's heads together and getting them to play as a unit.

Because they can," Robson insisted.

Only the qualifying group winners automatically qualify for the World Cup finals in South Africa.

That means the Croatians, who did the double over England in the Euro 2008 qualifiers, this time have to be sent packing.

Robson says Capello should have been more decisive in picking his skipper for the Czech encounter.

"The weeks of dithering about who should be England captain summed it up for me. I'm sure the intention was to give everyone a fair chance, but it made him look weak and indecisive.

"Steve McClaren could have told him two years ago that John Terry was the best man for the job." -- AFP
My comment:"Drop Beckham,urges Robson"
Sir Bobby Robson insisted on droping David Beckham for the up coming world cup qualifying match, and say that Frank Lampard are suit to play with Steven Gerrad. For my opinion,Fabio Capello(England Coach)should give a chance for Beckham eventhough he doesn't play well for the recent game maybe he'll make a differents in the qualifying match soon...

Battle for Permatang Pauh: BN pulls out all stops to regain Chinese support

The BN charge, led by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is not perturbed by the fact that the coalition is the underdog.

Campaigners are pushing hard to make inroads in Chinese-concentrated areas, hoping hard that those who had turned away from BN would return into its fold.

"Feedback has been positive but we have to work very hard. We are not giving up," said Penang MCA deputy chief Law Chiek Tuan while on a house-to-house campaigning.
For some BN leaders, Najib's appeal to the non-Malays on Monday to reject the opposition and instead vote for Umno's Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, could have gone down well with the voters.

Najib had reminded the non-Malays not to gamble their children's future away. They were also advised not to be hoodwinked by the opposition's promises

Opportunities for both sides to entice voters using every strategy they can imagine remain aplenty until the eve of polling day.

Olympic in Beijing still running, but Malaysia no more an athlete that are involve in any event, their journey are already done but for this event their journey are better than before, because our 'super heroes' that fight with his racket, our badminton player Lee Chong Wei that win a silver medal after lost to Lin Dan that we are already know as the first ranking individual badminton player, and maybe the reason that Lin Dan can perform better in the final is because play in his 'home' that he get a fully support from the China crout. What ever happen we should proud because this time Malaysia get a medal and atleast has a position in the list of the state that has a medal in the olympic event for this year. Not like four years a go in Athens, Malaysia contingent back without any medal and also in the event before in Sydney. We as a Malysian should qountinue our support to Malaysia contingent, and we hope their can born more heroes like Chong Wei in the future to acchieve a better result in the next olympic event on 2012 in London and so on and will get the first of gold medal in the olympic event. MY COMMENT,
That's a good news for Man City for makesure their team still can be a top team of Premier Leaque.
That we know previously Thaksin got a lot of financial's issues that can effect this team.
So after this Man City can solve all their budget problem and with this new management this team can be better than other team...
This also opening a window for UAE players to play in the Premier League as well...

MERDEKA COMING SOON

Tajuk:Maruah Jalur Gemilang

About Cristiano Ronaldo:

Cristiano Ronaldo began his football career at an early age and by the time he went to school he was hooked with a distinct passion for the sport. At barely ten years of age Ronaldo had obtained a reputation for his outstanding soccer prowess in his native country Portugal with teams such as CS Maritimo and CD Nacional vying for his signature. Ronaldo did in time sign for Nacional before moving onto the bigger club of Sporting ready to develop his footballing career. At Sporting Ronaldo received a first-class instruction and began to hone his natural skills. He made his debut against Moreirense and scored two goals proving that he was capable of playing at the highest standards at a young age. In 2003 he came to the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United, when Sporting beat the Manchester based club in the inaugural match in the Alvalade XXI stadium. In this stunning display against Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson made the decision that he wanted Ronaldo for his team. It seemed he would be the perfect replacement for David Beckham who had departed Old Trafford for Real Madrid. Sir Alex got his wish and signed Ronaldo for a fee of £12.24 million and the Portuguese youngster made his Premier League debut against Bolton Wanderers wearing the number seven shirt made famous by the likes of David Beckham, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona and George Best. In 2005 he was named FIFA Pro Special Young Player of the Year enjoying the special honour of being the recipient of the only award that was voted for by the fans. Ronaldo continued his high standard in 2006 lifting the same award. Ronaldo has become one of the most creative and influential players at Manchester United and has matured into a player with outstanding ability. Recent rumours have surrounded Ronaldo hinting that he may move to Real Madrid however these were quashed when the midfield maestro signed a new five year contract with Manchester United. Ronaldo plays for Portugal and played in the 2006 World Cup. Famously in this competition he featured on the front pages of the English tabloid press when he winked in the immediate aftermath of fellow Manchester United player Wayne Rooney's sending off in the quarter final. England were eliminated from the World Cup and Ronaldo came under heavy attack from the English population which has since disappeared after Wayne Rooney publicly declared he bore Ronaldo no ill will.

Yesterday,I have bought a new mobile phone . Not a expensive one but just a simple model and I think for now that handphone was suitable to me. I will explain more about my new handphone. My handphone was called mobile phone because it has TV function. The most reasons I bought this handphone because it has TV function and can put two sim card together in one handphone. I have two sim card, there are maxis and celcom. The all two sim card can activated simultanously and I can use whether maxis or celcom and it easy for me to contact anyone I like. Besides that,it also have functions like MP3,MP4, RADIO FM,camera 3 mega pixels, video recorder, voice recorder and many more. The price of my handphone is about RM 450.00. For me,it quite expensive for student like me but I satisfy to have that handphone..hehehe

happy ramadhan..supposely i send this early september..hahaha..see my blog..

For over one billion muslims throughout the world,Ramadhan is a special month of the year.During the month of Ramadhan, muslims fast from dawn to sunset every day.Ramadhan was the month in which the first verses of the holy Qur'an were revealed to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). It is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and self-control. The sighting of the new moon at the end of Ramadhan heralds the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr.There are a lot of benefit during ramadhan..

Laylat al-Qadr (Arabic: لیلة القدر) (known as Shab-e Qadr in Persian), literally the "Night of Decrees" or "Night of Measures", is the anniversary of two very important dates in Islam that occurred in the month of Ramadan.Muslims believe that it was the night of the Laylat al-Qadr that the Quran's first verse was revealed. The exact night of the Laylat al-Qadr is only known to God and Muhammed but he chose to keep it to himself so that Muslims won't pray only that night. That is why Muhammad indicated that it was one of the last ten odd nights of Ramadan...it is said, laylat al-qadr is greater than 1000 month..

Assalamualaikum madam,
I am indeed patriotic in a sense but when it come to choose between betraying my country, my family and friends it really is a hard decision to make. If i betray my country every each of the citizens of my country Malaysia would blame me for the things that i have done. People will haunt me until the worm hole if they must to. The worst thing that can happen is get caught and sent to prison for all my life. If i betray my family people will label me as a bad person because i had a black heart. They will say that i am not grateful and thankful to my parents for all that they have done to me. I might be thrown out of the house and my family would not want to see me again. If i betray my friends they will hate me so much. I will be alone and have no one to talk to. It will be hard for me to find new friends because they will hate me once they know my what i had done.
So either i betray my country, family or friend all of it leads me to become a bad person, untruthful and not trustworthy. I’ll be left alone... So the conclusion is i make decision to REMAIN SILENCE no matter what it is i am NOT GOING TO BETRAY ANYONE in my whole life.

Nicol shows touch of glass to get into semis:
PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s world number one squash player Nicol David loves to strut her stuff in a glass court.

And she did it again in fending off a strong challenge from Alison Waters of England to reach the semi-finals of the Qatar Classic in Doha with a 11-4, 14-12, 11-9 win yesterday.

All the matches from the quarter-finals are played in glass courts.

After a slow start, Waters gave Nicol a hard time but the Malaysian showed that she was more than determined to get her hands on her third Qatar Classic title and wrapped up the match in 34 minutes.

The three-time world champion will take on fourth seed and former world number one Natalie Grainger of the United States today for a place in the final.

Nicol told the squashsite.co.uk that her game was improving by the day and looked forward to continue playing in the glass court.

“Playing in the glass courts suits my style of game and it gives me a feeling that I am in a competition,” she said.

A real competition is indeed in store for Nicol when she takes on Grainger, who is bent on making up for her disappointment of crashing out early in the recent world championships in Manchester.

The other semi-final is between Holland’s Natalie Grinham and Australian Rachael Grinham.
